WMMS Named an Official AVID Site

Windsor Mill MS was one of only a handful of schools to be named a new AVID site for the up and coming school year. This is a program that will become available to 75+/- students who are determined to be college-ready.  This program has huge implications for the school and our students.  More information will be shared throughout the year and during the planning phases.

Please Note:  Items have changed for grades 7 and 8 because of the 1:1 Lighthouse initiative.  All grades 6 and 7 students will have their own personal laptop device in which a majority of instruction and other materials will be housed.  Be selective in what your purchase as a result. §  6th graders—Red

§  6th Girls—Red Polo

§  6th Boys—White button shirt / Red tie*

§  7th Grade—Navy Blue Polos

§  8th Grade—Light Blue Polos

Uniform Options

PRE-ORDERED directly at WMMS from 9am-2pm daily.  We are offering shirts with the new EMBROIDERED WMMS logo.  You may also find plain polo shirts at your local school uniform store.  We have a limited number of old logo shirts in adult sizes  for parents in the grade 7/8 colors for just $8 each.  New embroidered shirts will be sold throughout the year for $12 each.  Pre-ordering is recommended.

We are working with local shirt vendors to offer fall / winter wear that is uniform consistent. For now, Amazon and local stores that sell uniforms clothing have options for your consideration.

Windsor Mill Middle School has created a Microsoft OneNote Parent Notebook which contains a variety of resources to assist parents with better supporting their child’s educational experience.  This notebook also has resources to help the parent grow both personally and professionally.  Please take time to click through the WMMS Parent Notebook to discover the plethora of resources BCPS and WMMS has to offer.

Baltimore County Public Schools' newest middle school, Windsor Mill, opened for students on August 28, 2006. Located in the southwest region of Baltimore County, the community served by Windsor Mill includes Stevens Wood, Liberty Manor, Mayfield Woods, Merrymount, et. al

Windsor Mill Middle is one of seven Lighthouse Middle Schools in BCPS. It is also a Professional Development School with UMBC. The faculty, parents, community and business partners of Windsor Mill Middle School will work together to ensure that students receive an education that fosters a positive, learning environment founded on tolerance, respect and nurturing in order to produce students who are technologically savvy, independent thinkers and pursuers of lifelong learning. The WMMS staff is working to educate students and fulfill its motto that "Achievement is Limitless."
